How it works

01

Pick a size

8x10, 10x12, 12x16 or a lean-to. Every plan shows the footprint and materials before you commit.

02

Prep the foundation

A level base is half the build. The foundation guide covers concrete and gravel options.

03

Frame and finish

Walls, roof and door are sequenced so the framing stays square from the first stud.

Questions, answered

Are the shed plans really free?

Yes. Every plan on the site is free to print and always will be. The one-step sponsor offer above only unlocks the extra pack — it never locks the free plans.

Do I need a permit for a shed?

It depends on your area and the size. The pack includes a permit checklist to walk through before you break ground, and the free pages flag it in the intro.

What foundation do I need?

Most small sheds sit on a concrete pad or a gravel base. The plans show the footprint, and the full pack includes a foundation guide for both.

Can I save a plan as a PDF?

Yes — choose 'Save as PDF' from the print dialog instead of printing. It keeps the plan on your phone at the site.
